As expected Bland & Osterwalder did an excellent job explaining their Testing Framework, identify who could benefit from it and where each set of questions applies to previous Business Model Canvas framework. They divide testing ideas into three main categories: Desirability, Feasibility, and Viability. These are not arbitrary classifications and should be the concern of every entrepreneur, architect and business executive. What I haven't seen is coverage outside the core BMC elements. Those of you that have read Business Model Generation rather than the summaries many people give will note that the external forces that a business model operates within are significantly important and have influences on the core model. My assumption is the hypothesis behind the Testing Framework is to discover those interactions with those external factors. I'm not sure however, unless focused to do so the framework will not yield such situational awareness. Like SAFe Agile it may have to grow to be a more comprehensive Enterprise Class tool. From just this snapshot I would rate it an Amazon 5 Star. The gaps I see may be more scope decisions that Strategyzer made keeping the context on rapid testing around the internal factors of the business model. However, the topic of testing business ideas is well represented here in a practical manner.

The reasoning Bland and Osterwalder give for testing the business ideas are genius. The models are easy to follow and made it simple to create a visual business canvas that anyone can understand. This not only helped me organize my new startup but helped me realize where I could strengthen my other two companies. I spent 3 months staring at notes to start a multi-level complicated company. The day I received his book and watched a couple of YouTube video\u2019s - was the day I organized everything. The only complication of reading this book was all the new ideas it gave me. I could go on but thank you for this guide.

Got this book for my son as he is currently studying Business Management. Tons of images, illustrations and photos which is a new dawn in exploring and exploiting business models than the typical full-on textbook. This book is way different from your average business textbook and it's a must-have for entrepreneurs or anyone who is thinking of business expansion by applying some of the models. Tons of value in this book that you can take away for both personal and professional development. I loved the practical examples and tools and the balanced and realistic view that to be truly useful. Fun to read, simple yet full of powerful content. Highly recommended!

I very much enjoyed this book, I had a sense of what I was in store for by downloading and reading the preview. I am familiar with discussions about business innovation, thorough development of new revenue models, marketing strategies, product feature sets, competitive strategies, and so on. This book takes a different approach to these topics by describing and developing the actual steps to test and evaluate the core business model, and determine which are best suited to a particular product and service mix. In my experience, there has been too little discussion of designing business models, and this book lays the process out and provides a number of tangible examples. I will keep this book close to my desk, and refer to it often as I work through strategic and tactical planning for new ventures. I highly recommend this book; based on practical experience and examples, you'll find out what you missed in MBA school.

Is your company struggling to adapt to changing industry forces and/or customer needs? Do coworkers and leaders attribute innovation to the success of big bets on novel ideas? Does your company apply the same process and success metrics of your established business models to emerging opportunities?

If the answer is \"yes\" to any of these questions, The Invincible Company will help you, your team, and your company establish the thinking and the frameworks that are needed to explore new business models and exploit existing business models. The book provides both the theory behind the explore-exploit model and real world examples that demonstrate how successful companies reinvent and remain relevant. I highly recommend this book to entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders that want to innovate by design, not luck.

If you are a business leader in search of a clear perspective of how to future-proof your organisation, this is possibly the most complete guide that you will find. The Invincible Company is a practical guide on how established companies can achieve a balance on how to exploit their current business models whilst exploring business models for the future. The book is filled with real-life practical examples of how successful companies that we all know have achieved this. I particularly liked how the book describes the Invincible Company as an \"ambidextrous\" organisation that uses its current successes as the base of resources and expertise to craft its future. The role of the \"Chief Entrepreneur\" and the entrepreneurial organisation may sound alien, but the case of PING AN is a clear example of how this can be done in practice. Congratulations to Alexander Osterwalder and his co-authors for launching such an awesome book!

In the world of electronic media, DRM technology is very important, because unlike analog information, digital content such as software, films, audio recordings, documents and books can, by nature, easily be reproduced and redistributed. This cripples the underlying business model, creating a situation, which is unsustainable for creators and copyright owners. For commercial digital publishers, the use of DRM systems to regulate access to protected intellectual property is therefore essential.

Conducting an experiment or business survey? This is a great way to develop proprietary knowledge and become a thought leader in your industry. But how will you share your findings with the people who care about it? Create an ebook that describes the experiment, what you intended to find out, the results of the experiment, and what these findings mean for your readers and the market at large.
